Haircut Trend: The Undercut
One of the biggest trends in the beauty industry right now, is to rock your natural texture. Women are finding it freeing to embrace what they naturally have, making their style more low maintenance and simpler. The new cut trending this fall is called the “undercut”. Instead of your layers being placed on top, they will actually be cut underneath your hair. This kind of cut will lessen your blow dry time, add tons of fullness to you hair, and make your natural texture come to life.
Highlight Trend: Baby Lights
While ombre is still all the rage, a new highlighting trend has stepped on the scene–and they’re called “baby lights.” Remember when you were a little kid and your hair naturally was highlighted from playing in the sun? That’s what baby lights aim to give you. Performed with a balayage technique, these sun kissed streaks are inspired by your natural color, and act as a subtle and low maintenance way to instantly brighten up your face.
Color Trend: Make It Edgy
Fall is a great time to play around with your color. You can experiment with a deeper hue, or a brighter color, without being too drastic. Opt for a semi-permanent color if you want to test out a warmer, richer color without the commitment. Or if you’re dying to add an unnatural shade to your hair, start by adding it to the underneath layers, or a couple of pieces in front. The best part about colors like rose gold or violet, is they wash out rather quickly and all that will be left is your beautiful platinum color.
